Holiday Insurance Cover

Questions and answers

How do I make a claim?

Your policy includes full instructions how to do this.  We will send you a policy when you take out the cover. You can also see a copy of it by clicking here for single trip policies and here for annual trip.

Does it include a medical emergency service?

Yes, a 24-hour emergency service is included, together with an air ambulance.  Full details can be found in your policy

What else am I covered for?

Your policy shows you what you are covered for. It includes:

  • Medical Expenses
  • Cancellation or curtailment of your trip
  • Personal possessions and personal money - up to £2,000.
  • Personal accident
  • Missed or Delayed departure
  • Personal liability
  • Legal Expenses
  • Ski Cover (if selected)

Are all medical conditions covered?

Our medical screening unit has an enviable reputation and tries to offer a flexible approach where possible. There may be occasions when they are unable to offer medical insurance cover, including when the condition is not stable.  Even if they cannot cover your condition, the policy will still include other valuable covers such as baggage, loss of money etc.

My medical condition has changed. What do I do?

You must inform the medical screening unit promptly of any changes in your condition or medication. Failure to do so may seriously affect your policy cover.  When informing the Medical Screening Unit of any changes please have your policy number to hand.

Is there an excess to pay?

Certain Sections of your policy carry an excess of £50 or £150.  You can pay an additional premium to upgrade your policy to include an excess waiver.  If you do this, all references to the £50 excess are reduced to NIL.

How long does it take to get covered?

Because your policy is individual, we can only issue it during Office hours (mon-fri 0900 to 1700).  Under normal working conditions we aim to prepare your policy within 30 minutes of receiving all the information (including payment).

How do I pay for my policy?

For your convenience we can accept payment by most major credit/debit cards.

When do I get my policy?

We will send your policy to you on either the same or next working day after you take it out.  You can also get a copy by following our site links.

Do you make any admin charges?

We make an admin charge (currently £10.00). This is to cover the cost of policy issue, postage etc.  The charge is per policy, not per person.
